I'm having serious issues with Guild Wars lagging out due to network problems. Or so it seems. Thinking it was something with my connection I began running several various speed tests, from reputable sources. Upon comparing the results based on various portions of the world, I concluded that if US servers are located in the US I shouldn't be having problems such as this based on ping.
However quite often I lose connection with the servers, and can't move. This problem seems to also happen quite often with Xfire and AIM. However nothing else is effected by these problems. I also ran several programs to check for malicious code that might be sucking up bandwidth, to no avail. Thoughts?

At first glance it looks like a connection problem.
Are you using any av programs, firewalls, are you using a router (if yes what brand is your router)?
Have you tried with other messaging programs like msn or voice chat like ventrilo, skype, teamspeak to see if aim of xfire were the cause of your problems?
I'm going to guess that your ISP is somehow throttling, or somehow shaping, gaming traffic. This wont affect HTTP or FTP data transfers, like your speed tests and normal web browsing/downloading, but will have an adverse effect on gaming and P2P taffic.
Have a poke around your ISP's forums and/or email them about it.
Alright, i'll check into the ISP throttling, as well as the other possibilities listed. Doing a fresh format today, so if theres anything thats out of place that is causing it, this should fix it. (Just a normal, scheduled format)
